What We Promise

If we built it, we stand behind it. For as long as you own the home.

Every fence Kismet Fence installs is backed by a Lifetime Workmanship Warranty. If something we built fails because of how we built it, we come back and fix it at no charge, for as long as you own the home. That covers every fence we have ever installed, not just the ones we build from today forward. If we set the posts, the warranty applies.

Workmanship is everything about how the fence was put together: how deep the posts went, how the concrete was set, how the rails were attached, how the gate was hung, how the fasteners were driven. If a failure traces back to any of that, it is on us.

Materials are a separate thing. Cedar, pine, vinyl, composite, aluminum, chain link and hardware each carry their own manufacturer's warranty, and the manufacturer, not Kismet, stands behind the material itself. When a material fails, we tell you what it is and help you file the claim.

A lifetime warranty only works if the workmanship holds up, so we build every fence as if we will be back to look at it in ten years.

It’s why we dig our post holes deeper.

It’s why Metal Frames and Metal Posts are standard on every wood gate we build — so they never sag.

It’s why we check permits, easements and the property line before we dig — a fence in the wrong place is not a fence we can stand behind.

We are building more than just fences — we are building a reputation. When something is not right, you call the people who built it.

What’s Covered

Anything that fails because of the way we built it. If the cause is our installation, the repair is on us, at no charge.

Posts: loosening, leaning or heaving because of how they were set.

Gates: sagging, dragging or refusing to latch because of the frame, hinges or posts we installed.

Rails & panels: separating from the posts.

Pickets & boards: coming loose from the fasteners we used.

Hardware: failures caused by the installation.

Layout: a fence not built to the line or grade we agreed on.

What’s Not Covered

Things that are not workmanship. We will still come look, tell you plainly what happened, and quote the repair if you want us to do it.

Materials: defects, rot, rust or fading fall under the manufacturer's warranty, and we help you file it.

Wood being wood: shrinking, warping, checking, cracking, chipping and graying are normal, not defects.

Storms: tornadoes, straight-line winds and other significant wind events, falling trees or limbs, flooding, vehicle impact.

Ground & roots: soil movement, erosion, drainage changes, tree roots.

Abuse, misuse or neglect: string-trimmer damage, climbing, heavy loads hung on the fence, sprinklers running against wood.

Other people’s work: repairs, changes or additions by anyone other than Kismet Fence, plus normal wear and tear.

How to Make a Claim

Three steps, and four conditions worth knowing.

1. Reach out. Call (479) 222-0229 or email contact@kismetnwa.com with your name, the install address, and a photo or two of the problem.

2. We come look. We schedule a visit and inspect the fence in person.

3. We fix it or we explain it. If it is workmanship, we repair it at no charge. If it is a material failure or damage, we tell you what caused it, what the manufacturer covers, and what a repair would cost.

Original owner only. The warranty belongs to the person who hired us and stays with the property for as long as they own it. It does not transfer when the home sells.

Balance paid in full. The warranty is suspended while any invoice on the job is outstanding and picks back up as soon as it is settled.

Call us first. If someone else repairs or modifies part of the fence, that part is no longer under warranty. Call us before anyone touches it, even if the fix looks small.

No deadline, but sooner is better. A leaning post is a ten-minute fix in month one and a bigger job in year three.

Warranty Questions & Fine Print

Plain answers about what the Lifetime Workmanship Warranty covers, what it does not, and how a claim works.

Common Questions

If your question is not here, call us. We would rather answer it than have you guess.

Is it really lifetime?

Yes. As long as you own the home, the workmanship on your fence is covered. It is a warranty on how we built the fence, not on the materials, which carry the manufacturer's coverage.

Does it apply to a fence you built for me a few years ago?

Yes. The Lifetime Workmanship Warranty applies to every fence Kismet Fence has installed, regardless of when we built it.

Does it transfer if I sell the house?

No. The warranty covers the original owner only and ends when the property changes hands.

My cedar pickets are cracking and turning gray. Is that covered?

No. Shrinking, warping, checking, cracking, chipping and graying are normal for wood and are not defects. A good stain slows the graying down; ask us about staining if you want to keep the color.

My gate is dragging. Is that covered?

If the gate frame, hinges or posts we installed are the reason, yes. That is exactly why every wood gate we build gets a metal frame and metal posts. If the gate was damaged by something else, such as a vehicle or a storm, that is a repair we will quote.

A storm blew part of my fence down. Is that covered?

No. Tornadoes, straight-line winds and other significant wind events void the workmanship warranty for the damaged section. Storm damage is usually a homeowner's insurance claim, and we are glad to write up the repair for your adjuster.

What about the materials, like a vinyl panel that cracked or a post that rusted?

Materials are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, if one applies, not by our workmanship warranty. We will help you figure out what the manufacturer covers and file the claim.

I still owe a balance on the job. Can I file a claim?

The warranty is suspended while a balance is outstanding and reinstates as soon as it is paid.

What if I had a handyman fix part of the fence?

Any section repaired or modified by someone other than Kismet Fence is no longer covered. Call us first, even for small things.

How do I file a claim?

Call (479) 222-0229 or email contact@kismetnwa.com with your name, the install address and a photo. We will schedule a visit and take it from there.

The Fine Print

The legal version, in one paragraph. Your signed agreement carries the same terms.

Limited warranty terms

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Kismet Construction LLC, d/b/a Kismet Fence, warrants the workmanship of its fence installations for as long as the original customer owns the property on which the fence was installed. Upon notice from the customer, Kismet Construction will arrange for repair of faulty workmanship at no charge. This warranty covers faulty workmanship only and does not cover product defects, or damage caused by acts of God, significant wind events, installation or repairs made by others, abuse, misuse, neglect, or normal wear and tear. Wood has a tendency to shrink, warp, check, crack and chip; these are normal characteristics of wood and are not warranted. Merchandise and materials are covered exclusively by the manufacturer's warranty, if any. Kismet Construction may suspend this warranty while any balance on the job remains unpaid. This warranty is not transferable. It applies to all fences installed by Kismet Construction LLC regardless of installation date. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Arkansas Home Improvement License No. 0446811126. Effective September 2026.
