Don't Rely On Luck. Trust Your Neighbor.
"Kismet" means fate or destiny. In the construction world, finding a contractor who shows up on time, answers the phone, and builds projects right the first time often feels like pure luck.
At Kismet Fence, we are taking luck out of the equation. We are a locally owned, Licensed Contractor based right here in Farmington, serving our neighbors across Northwest Arkansas. We aren't a giant franchise with a corporate headquarters in another state and franchise fees. We are the guys you see at the local grocery store and the Friday night football games.
Our Philosophy: Quality Over Volume. We believe true craftsmanship is in the details you don't see immediately but you will notice five years from now.
It’s why we dig our post holes deeper.
It’s why Metal Frames and Metal Posts are standard on every wood gate we build — so they never sag.
It’s why we treat your backyard like our own — and we always leave it cleaner than we found it.
We are building more than just fences — we are building a reputation. When you hire Kismet, you aren't just hiring a contractor; you're hiring a neighbor who stands behind their work.
Kismet Fence is a locally owned Licensed Contractor, No. 0446811126, based in Farmington and serving all of Northwest Arkansas.
Ornamental Steel Fence Installation in Northwest Arkansas
Ornamental steel is the strongest open fence we build. We install black welded-steel panels in 4, 5 and 6 foot heights, on 2-inch square steel posts set in concrete, with walk gates and double drive gates to match.
Steel or aluminum? From the street they look much the same: black pickets you can see through. Steel is stronger and heavier, so it is the better pick for a big dog that leans on the fence, a drive gate that swings every day, or a spot where the fence might take a hit. Aluminum can’t rust, which makes it the lower-worry choice next to a pool or in the path of sprinklers. See aluminum fencing.
Drive gates get bigger posts. A double drive gate hangs its whole weight on two posts, so ours go on 4-inch square steel posts instead of the standard 2-inch, set a foot deeper than the rest of the line, with two bags of concrete in each hole. That is what keeps a wide gate from sagging and dragging a few years in. Add an opener and the same gate becomes an automated gate.
Permits and HOAs: many towns and HOAs limit how tall a front-yard fence can be, and some towns require a permit for any new fence. We check your town’s rules before we quote, and when a permit is needed, we pull it. See the fence rules for all 29 towns.

Ornamental Steel Fence Styles
Flat Top
Pickets end flush under a flat top rail, with three rails for a clean, simple line. It suits newer homes and front yards where the fence should frame the house instead of hiding it.
Flat Top, Picket Bottom
The same flat top, with the pickets running past the bottom rail to close the gap at the ground. Two rails at 4 and 5 feet, three rails at 6 feet. The better choice when you have small dogs.
Walk Gates
Walk gates built to match the fence and hung on steel posts with a security latch, so the gate looks like part of the fence instead of an add-on.
Double Drive Gates
Double gates for driveways, trailers and equipment, hung on 4-inch steel posts set a foot deeper in concrete, with a drop rod to hold them closed. Want it to open on its own? See gate automation.
