Local Pine Fence Builders
A Solid Wood Fence. Priced for Your Budget.
Pressure-treated pine is the most budget-friendly wood fence we build. The lumber is infused with preservatives under pressure so it holds up against rot and insects, which is why treated pine is one of the most common fence woods you'll see around Northwest Arkansas.
We build treated pine fences with the same care as our cedar ones. Pine pickets go up with galvanized nails, which stand up to the chemicals in treated lumber. Dog-ear tops come standard, and every gate we build gets a metal frame and metal posts so it never sags.
Kismet Fence is a locally owned Licensed Contractor, No. 0446811126, and every fence we build is backed by our lifetime workmanship warranty.
Pressure-Treated Pine Fence Installation in Northwest Arkansas
Heights. We build treated pine fences 4, 6 and 8 feet tall, and six feet is the usual backyard privacy height. Check your town's limits in our fence permit guide and your HOA's rules in our HOA approval guide. If your town requires a permit, we pull it for you.
Posts. Choose standard wood posts or upgrade to PostMaster® steel posts, which won't rot, crack or lean the way wood posts eventually can.
Finishing touches. Decorative post caps, custom trim and a protective stain are all available. Keep in mind that treated pine needs to dry out before it will take a stain well.
Pine or cedar? Pine keeps the cost down. Cedar costs more, but it's naturally rot-resistant, lighter and more stable, with a richer color. Either way you get the same build and the same warranty. See every option side by side on our wood fence page.
Pine Fence Questions
What is pressure-treated pine?
Pine lumber that has been infused with preservatives under pressure so it resists rot, fungus and insects. It's the most budget-friendly wood we build with.
Why does new treated pine look green or wet?
Fresh treated lumber often has a greenish tint and still holds moisture from the treatment. As it dries, the color fades to a light tan and slowly weathers toward gray.
When can I stain a pine fence?
Once the wood has dried out, which can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months depending on the weather. A quick test: sprinkle some water on a board. If it soaks in, the wood is ready for stain. If it beads up, give it more time.
Will gaps open up between the boards?
As treated pine dries, pickets shrink a little, which can open thin gaps on a side-by-side fence. If full privacy matters, choose board-on-board: each picket overlaps its neighbors by 1-1/2 inches on each side, so the gaps stay covered.
What nails do you use on treated pine?
Galvanized nails. Today's treated lumber corrodes plain steel fasteners, so galvanized is the standard. Screws are available if you prefer them.
How much does a pine fence cost?
It depends on the length of your fence, the height, the style, how many gates you need and whether an old fence has to come out. Draw your fence in our fence calculator to see an estimate in about a minute, or book a free on-site quote.
